Spring is here! That means there’s more time to go for walks in the sunshine! I’m always recruiting for more friends, so bring your dog for a meal if you haven’t already. I can recommend the sausage – particularly tasty.
Speaking of tasty food, the brand new menu for humans is now available. There are all sorts of delicious new dishes for you to try out. If you love lunchtime (or any meal time actually) as much as I do, you need to pop in. The food is made with the freshest and very best ingredients from local suppliers.
Thank you to everyone who has been following my Instagram account. The Cotswolds life isn’t easy but someone has to live it. If you’re not already following, you can here.
Now that spring is around the corner, it’s time for a new wine recommendation; what a great opportunity to use my newly-acquired sommelier training. May I suggest the Domain les Meullieres Côtes du Rhône Villages? It’s perfect for this time of year, as it’s dry and features jammy spice and black cherry flavours. Try it for a cheeky lunchtime treat this week with our vegan quinoa and lentil cottage pie.
That’s all from me, for now. Hope to see you soon! Have a look at the new menus and see what takes your fancy.
Wow, can you believe it’s March already? I’m loving my walks now that it’s a little bit sunnier outside and there are lots of new things for me to sniff out. Hopefully, the weather will warm up soon so I can explore more and perhaps stop getting mud all over everyone!
It’s been great to meet some more friends of the two- and four-legged variety! If you haven’t brought your doggy family in lately, I would love to meet them – you can never have too many friends! I’ve also managed to try everything on the doggie menu now, so bring them along and I’m sure I can recommend something tasty.
Talking of tasty, we’re also looking at a brand new menu for all the humans to enjoy, so it’s not just us pups having the best of the best.
I’ve also been getting on with my sommelier training. Mike and Wendy have kept me super busy learning the wine menu, so for my March recommendation, why not try this Cawston Cove Chenin Blanc from South Africa? Refreshing and lively, this wine is perfectly balanced and bursting with flavours of guava, ripe apple and pear. It’s a perfect accompaniment to poultry, vegetarian dishes, creamy white cheeses and salads. And the best part? It’s suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Before I go, I have a little announcement for you – due to popular demand, I’m starting an Instagram account! Look out for the link to it on our Facebook or Twitter pages, and give me a follow for a behind-the-scenes look at my life in the Cotswolds!
