We serve home cooked food which includes seasonal local produce (eg. Asparagus, Strawberries), fresh daily fish & local game bird, vegetarian and specific allergy menus.  Try our Takeaway service for selected meals, 7 days a week.

We offer Off-licence sales of all our beers & ales, and selected wines & soft drinks.

Integral and popular in the Alderton village community, we host many events such as quiz nights, theme nights, Christmas, New Year, Easter & Bank Holiday special events.

Alderton is close to many Gloucestershire & Worcestershire attractions, and the Gardeners Arms is a popular meeting place for local clubs, societies, ramblers, bikers & cyclists.

Our function facilities are ideal for wedding parties & other events.  We welcome parties of all sizes and have room for coaches to park.

We have a large free car park, disabled access, large beer garden with boule area, a Shove Ha'penny table, darts board and a selection of other games available.  There is an original Well as a central feature in the lounge.

Children are welcome, and dogs are permitted in some of our bar areas.

We now have about 25 staff in total, the majority of whom live locally.

We are now a Non-Smoking pub in all areas except for a dedicated shelter outside.

We feature in the UK Good Beer Guide, Good Pub Guide, Good Pub Food Guide and Real Ale Pub Guide.

We have been awarded the Cask-Marque, which is from an independent organisation whose aims are to consistently achieve a high standard of beer in terms of clarity, temperature, taste & aroma.  We are assessed several times a year and a minimum mark of 80% is required to pass & retain the award.  We are very proud to have never failed an audit since the Cask-Marque organisation started.

We are members of the British Institute of Innkeepers, who promote high standards of professionalism throughout the licensed retail sector.

We pride ourselves on supplying good Ales, Beers and Fine Wines.  We are members of CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale. The good beer guide was set up by CAMRA for pubs that keep beers well, pour the perfect pint & other drinks, give a good welcome, terrific food and family facilities to help these pubs to survive.  CAMRA members choose the pubs and visit them on a regular basis.
